You Probably Have Some Questions….
What is the latest date I can RSVP?
April 1, 2026
What is the address of the wedding ceremony?
Tortoise Supper Club - 350 N State Street, Chicago, Illinois 60654
What’s the easiest way to get to and from the wedding venue?
Given the downtown location and the free-flowing drinks, we highly recommend that guests Uber or taxi to the venue.
Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?
Currently, we do not have plans to reserve a hotel block. We encourage guests to review the hotel suggestions in the Accommodations page on our website and book a stay that aligns with their budget and needs.
What is the dress code for the wedding?
We ask that all guests adhere to our Black Tie dress code. Metallic colors are encouraged but not required. For more information, please refer to the Dress Code page on our website.
Will there be a coat check and valet?
Yes, there will be an attended coat check at the door for guests to check their outerwear and bags. We are also offering a complimentary car valet service to our guests who choose to drive. However, drinks will be free-flowing, so we strongly recommend that guests call a car to and from the event if they intend to consume alcohol.
Are children allowed at the wedding?
We love young ones, but this is a mature event. Guests under the age of 21 are warmly welcome to other wedding events, but may not attend the wedding ceremony or reception.
Are plus-ones allowed at the wedding?
Due to space restrictions, our wedding is invitation-only.
What’s the best airport to fly into?
Chicago is fortunate to have two excellent airports. Guests should price out flights into either Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) or Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW).
What will the weather in Chicago be like?
Spring in Chicago means flowers in bloom, warming weather, and buzzing activity in our parks and along the lake. Temperatures in May range from the low 60s to the low 70s, with occasional rainfall. We encourage guests to pack a light jacket, an umbrella, and comfortable footwear for daily exploration.
What type of food will be served at the wedding?
Dinner will consist of luxurious, American classics with a twist. Dietary restrictions will be accommodated, but must be listed on the digital RSVP portal. Food and drinks will be available throughout the evening, so no one will leave hungry!
Is your ceremony and reception at the same venue? Are both events indoors?
Yes, both the ceremony and reception will be held at Tortoise Supper Club. Both events will be held indoors.
I would like to buy you a gift. Do you have a wedding registry?
Yes, please check out our Registry link! We have registered at two traditional stores. We are also accepting contributions to our Honeymoon and Home Purchase cash funds.
Can I bring a physical gift to the wedding?
We will have staff on-site to accept gifts and keep them safe. Thank you for your generosity! You are also welcome to bring physical gifts to the Farewell Coffee and Brunch at our home on Monday, May 25, 2026.
